Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 September 2026
1. Who we are
Spiral DJ ("we") is a local-first DJ library and set-preparation application available at spiraldj.com. For any privacy question, contact us at info@spiraldj.com.
2. Your music and library stay on your device
Audio files you load are decoded, analysed (BPM, key, energy, waveform), fingerprinted and organised inside your browser. Your audio bytes and track metadata are never uploaded to us or to any third party. Your library, phases, playlists and analyses are stored locally in your browser's storage (IndexedDB) and can be removed at any time by clearing your browser data or using the app's own reset tools.
3. What we do collect
- Account data: your name (if provided) and email address, used to create and sign you in to your account.
- Plan data: your plan (Free/Pro) and subscription status.
- Payment data: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details; we only receive your subscription status.
- Usage counts (optional): anonymous feature-usage counts (for example imports, exports or Auto Flow runs) linked to your account, only when enabled in Settings → Privacy. Numbers only — never music, filenames, file paths or library contents. You can switch it off at any time.
We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell or share personal data. The optional usage counts above are the only product analytics, and they contain no music data.
4. How we use it
Account and plan data are used solely to operate the service: signing you in, applying the Free/Pro limits and managing your subscription. Payment processing is provided by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.
5. Where data lives
- Account records are stored with Supabase (EU region, Frankfurt).
- Payments are processed by Stripe.
- Your library and audio data are stored only in your browser.
- Sign-in with Google shares your name and email with us (that is all we receive from Google).
6. Cookies and local storage
We only use the storage required for the service to work: a sign-in session cookie and local browser storage for your library, settings and preferences. No tracking cookies are set.
7. Retention and your rights
Account records are kept while your account exists. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your account and personal data at any time by writing to info@spiraldj.com; we will act within the periods required by the GDPR. Deleting your account does not touch your local library — that data is yours and lives in your browser.
8. Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and the date at the top. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
